ILSTA is glad to actively support the awareness raising campaign in cooperation with AMLIO on the mandatory Lao regulations regarding the possession and transportation of currency.
AMLIO is setting up informative banners at all the international border points of Laos, reminding of the obligation to declare the transportation of USD 12.000 in cash, or the equivalent in other currencies.
The banners have been installed already in Boten, Luang Namtha; the Friendship Bridge in Bokeo; the Friendship Bridge in Khammouane; the Airport in Luang Prabang, Namsoy, Huapan; Paksan, Bolikhamxay; and Vangtao, Pakse, Champasak.
