Ms. Anna Lindén, Legal Advisor and Head of Office, Sciaroni & Associates gave a presentation on the Investment Climate in Laos – Market Access and Restrictions to Foreign Investment on 10 June 2016. The presentation covered the structure of the Lao Investment Promotion Law and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Laos. Restrictions that apply to foreign investors were discussed and a comparison was made to the situation in neighboring countries. The participants asked questions on how to further improve the situation for investors while at the same time ensuring that investments benefit the Lao economy.
