An Open Lecture on The Rights of the Accused in Criminal Procedure in Lao PDR was given by Dr. Phonesaeng Khounthavyduangchai, who is a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law, Faculty of Law and Political Science in Vientiane. Dr. Phonesaeng did his PhD on the privilege against self-incrimination: a comparative study between Lao and Thai law, at Thammasat University of Thailand from where he graduated in 2015.
