With a focus on evidence in criminal proceeding, the 4th National Conference, organized by OSPP and ILSTA, featured a mock trial session, demonstrating a practical example and importance of evidence in criminal proceedings.
This year, ILSTA applied innovative way to disseminate knowledge. The candidates witnessed an interactive and practical experts’ presentations. The demonstration of two Criminal Cases in the Court – the Mock Trial was role played on the second day of the conference. This gave the participants the opportunity to see in real time the importance of the respect of procedures, the respect of all participants’ rights, and the efficient application of law in general. Exercises like this allow them to understand and improve the way the procedures are rolled out, the way these should take place in respect of the law.
