The Lao Customs Department, Ministry of Finance, and ILSTA are running a two-week Criminal Investigation Course for Lao Customs Officers at Champasak Grand Hotel, Pakse Prefecture, Champasak Province, Lao PDR, from the 1st – 12th of August 2022.
The training course covers theory and practice of criminal investigation skills such as case management, operational planning, surveillance, and crime scene investigation. Simulated scenarios help participants improve their critical thinking and decision-making skills, while comprehensive modules help them learn and apply Lao criminal procedure law. In total, 28 participants from both the Customs Department and Lao Securities Commission took part in the training.
The training was officially opened by Mr Saymanolin Sinbandith, Deputy Director of Lao Customs Department of Lao PDR, and Mr John Connolly, Director of ILSTA.
