ILSTA provides technical assistance to Lao authorities in completing the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Post-Observation Period Report (POPR).
Following the submission of the report, ILSTA Luxembourg met the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor (OSPP), to discuss support to Mutual legal assistance and the upcoming work plan for 2025.
ILSTA and OSPP additionally emphasized the need to deliver nationwide trainings on the dissemination of procedures contributing to the FATF compliance, in line with ILSTA’s ongoing legal support and technical assistance. These training programs would be designed to equip authorities with relevant skills and knowledge in line with international standards.
ILSTA supports OSPP’s initiatives in enhancing inter-agency collaboration across the region, in line with FATF recommendations and best practices.
