An Open Lecture human trafficking was given by Major Khamphane Sayavong of the Anti-human Trafficking Department of the Ministry of Public Security on 15 March 2017. Major Khamphane addressed a number of issues starting with the reasons why so many cases occur in Laos, typical victims and where they end up, methods used by traffickers to deceive and control the victims, the relevant legal provisions as well as who to contact in case coming across cases of human trafficking. The presentation was very interactive and followed by a lively question and answer session.
