Mr. Sivath Sengdouangchanh, Managing Director of Allen & Gledhill Laos, gave an open lecture on the Lao legal system from a practical point of view at the Faculty of Law and Political Science on 3 November. In his lecture Mr. Sivath covered the development of the legal system in Laos as, its influences from a number of legal traditions and customary law. Mr. Sivath discussed practical aspects when implementing law in Lao society and challenges ahead. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session.
