Every year on the 18th of July we celebrate the "Nelson Mandela International Day" in recognition of the contributions made by Nelson Mandela, the former South African President, to the culture of peace and freedom.
On this day we would like to praise Nelson Mandela's Contribution to the establishment of the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners known as the "Nelson Mandela Rules".
ILSTA is supporting continuous training for the Lao government authorities on modern management of prisons and the compliance with "Nelson Mandela Rules".
