Administrative Law drafting and consultation in Vientiane Province

ILSTA participated in the Administration Law drafting and consultation meeting for Vientiane Province chaired by the Vice Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Nisith Keopanya. Since 2016, ILSTA and Luxembourg have been supporting the set up of an administrative jurisdiction and administrative legislation in Lao PDR with expertise from Luxembourg.

Mr Richard Philippart, President and Director General of ILSTA, stated that the Administrative Jurisdiction and Administrative Law would be an important milestone towards the Objective for the Lao PDR to become a Rule of Law state. The drafting committee comprises distinguished senior officials and representatives from Office of the People’s Prosecutor, the National Assembly, the People’s Supreme Court and other ministries. ILSTA is committed to further support Laos on this important matter.
